Project News: Final Production of BIOGEARS Prototype Rope

In June 2021, the BIOGEARS project reached an exciting milestones, where the final prototype ropes were produced at project partner ITSASKORDA’s facilities in Northern Spain. This was the achieved through collaboration between our partners at GAIKER, CENTEXBEL and ITSASKORDA.
Two prototypes have been created and meeting different parameters, but that are similar to GROPE (the commercial counterpart).
This achievement is a huge milestone for the project, as we now embark on piloting the ropes in various sea-tests. We look forward to sharing more results soon!
